A connoisseur of his craft, Moore knows that the ability to be successful stems from making a connection with others and creating a positive environment – for colleagues and guests alike. Chef Adam Evans is the Executive Chef & Owner of Automatic Seafood & Oysters, opening in February 2019 in Birmingham, AL.

With a passion for hospitality as his foundation, Moore honed his expertise in fine-dining hospitality at some of Birmingham’s most notable establishments, including the James Beard Award-winning Highlands Bar & Grill (where he worked for ten years), Chez Fonfon, and Satterfield’s (where he served as General Manager for over 14 years).

He took early jobs in restaurants as a way to help pay for college, but the lifestyle drew him in, and he found himself attracted to the lively atmosphere that the day-to-day of the industry provided. Since the organization gave out its first recognitions in 1991, each year has brought even more of a reverence for this culinary prize. Originally from Homewood, AL, Moore earned his BA in Marketing and Management from Birmingham-Southern College. The James Beard Foundation Awards for excellence in the food and beverage and related industries are one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a chef or restaurant. His 30+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, coupled with a desire to lead his team members as a family, marks a career of dedication to Birmingham’s restaurant scene.
